Seed Library

Seed libraries are a way to have fun, while building a sense of community with fellow gardeners and providing support to new comers to the world of gardening. It also preserves rare or heirloom seeds and encourages gardeners to save quality seeds that are best for our local growing area. The way the library works is very simple: gardeners “borrow” seeds from the library at planting time. At the end of the growing season, they save seeds from the plants and return a portion of the seeds to the library. You do not need a library card to check out seeds.

The HCCPL Seed Library is brought to you by the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library in partnership with the Christian County Master Gardeners Association.

To check out seeds, come to the library front desk to ask what we have available.
