Summer Reading 2025: May 31st – July 12th

Come one, come all, to our Summer Reading 2025 Program, “Reading under the Big Top.”  The fun will kick off with a party at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 31st at Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, 1101 Bethel St.

In the following weeks, we will host all kinds of exciting programming tailored to our theme including a magic show and science show. We are pleased to announce we also will host some unique guests during our program including Friends of Land Between the Lakes and a performance by Miss Calliope about sounds and colors!

Our Summer Reading program will conclude with a finale 10-11 a.m. on July 12th.

How It Works

To participate in our Summer Reading Program, all readers must be registered. Registration can be completed in-person at the HCCPL Front Desk. The form also can be accessed online, here.

Participants will be divided into the following categories based on age:

After registration is complete, be sure to pick up a reading log to start tracking your hours. Summer Reading Logs can be collected from the HCCPL Front Desk. You can also download the logs for ages 5 and up, here.

You can also download the logs for ages 4 and younger, here.

To track the hours you read during our Summer Reading Program, color in a box on your reading log for every hour you read. You’ll receive a small prize and a raffle ticket for the first five hours completed. For every five hours read after that, you will earn a raffle ticket. For every line after that, you earn another raffle ticket. Prizes will be raffled off at the finale July 12th. To claim your small prize and raffle tickets, bring reading logs to the HCCPL Front Desk.

All reading logs must be redeemed by 6 p.m. July 11th

Our librarians have been hard at work collecting all kinds of goodies and prizes to reward those who participate in our Summer Reading Program. During our finale, July 12th, we will raffle off a variety of prizes for each age group. Check this page for updates on what these prizes will be.

Raffle prize winners will have until July 26 to collect their prizes, or it will be redrawn.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I earn and claim my rewards?

• Everyone must have their own log sheets. These logs need to be returned in person to the library in order to claim goal reward.
• The rewards differ for each age group.
• Raffle will be drawn on July 12th and winners have until July 26th to claim their prize or it shall be redrawn.
